This is the present state of some parts in Kano. Heavy rain that lasted for more than seven hours has caused floods in parts of northern Nigeria’s biggest city, Kano state. Several places, including the city’s famous Kurmi market and several bus and taxi parks were flooded. There are no reported deaths but many residents say it was one of the heaviest downpours in recent years.
